Stereo tube preamp / overdrive using the 12AX7 at lower voltage. This causes the tube to break-up earlier and create a smooth distortion effect.
Includes a British inspired tone stack with range control for selecting the overall response of the stack.
2x 3-position switches for selecting the bass and treble response of the tube stages for highly versatile tone shaping.
Depending on the tone-stack and switch settings it can handle any instrument, including vocals.
Ideal for driving the front-end of a tube amplifier, but can also be used as preamplifier by itself with stunning results!
The outputs of the unit are galvanically isolated using audio transformers to prevent ground-loops when connecting to other systems.
Optional features include:
MIDI module for remotely bypassing the left and right channel or swapping them.
MONO / STEREO input and output connectors
Selectable output isolation or direct connection for optimal THD performance.
Linear (low noise) / Switch-mode (high efficiency) power supply
